This position is responsible for managing multiple aspects of the Broward Children Strategic Plan (“BCSP”) including but not limited to: facilitating the Chairs meeting, BCSP committees and sub-committee meetings and activities; aligning various efforts and strategies across committees to “connect the dots”; conducting Results Based Accountability (RBA) training, coaching and technical assistance; assisting in the preparation of the Turn the Curve Reports, meeting minutes, action steps, website and cross committee opportunities; etc. In addition, the Strategy Manager will support internal CSC strategic planning work. This position will work collaboratively with CSC staff, as well as all relevant external organizations and agencies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for providing backbone support to the Broward Children Strategic Plan (“BCSP”) and its Committees and Sub-committees. This includes coordinating the Leadership Coalition meetings, facilitating the Chairs meetings, identifying mutually reinforcing activities and strategies across sectors to maximize results; providing clear communication within all levels of the Committees, CSC, and the Stakeholder Community.
Design, conduct and evaluate Results Based Accountability (RBA) training to members of the Committees, Sub-committees, Stakeholder Community and CSC staff. Additionally, this includes providing RBA/Community Impact related coaching and technical assistance to Children Strategic Plan committees, stakeholder community work groups and internal CSC staff.
Surface and support community engagement strategies to increase youth, family and the community voice in the Children’s Strategic Plan.
Identify and share opportunities for cross-committee work to committee chairs.
Promote use of Children’s Strategic Plan website and interactive tools.
Identify committee needs such as data, results based accountability training, potential partners, fiscal mapping, research, policy and environmental issues, etc.
Maintain calendar of committee/sub-committee meetings. Send out meeting notices to participants and maintain accurate database of contact information, as needed.
Produce meeting minutes for meetings and assist with updating Turn the Curve reports and action step documents, as needed. Post current documents on Children’s Strategic Plan website, as needed.
Attend committee/sub-committee meetings.
Follow federal and state laws, in addition to implementing programs, policies and procedures in accordance with CSC’s priorities.
Conduct oneself in the best interest of the County’s constituents and in support of the CSC’s mission statement.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, Public Administration, or related field and five (5) years or more relevant experience in planning, training/coaching, and online work environments OR Associate’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, Public Administration or related field and seven (7) years or more relevant experience in planning, training/coaching, and online work environments. Master’s degree preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications as appropriate for the position’s job responsibilities.
Must possess valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance or have other means to enable travel locally and non-locally, including getting to work and going to other locations during the day for meetings, etc.
