Accordingly, in an effort to help control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), our offices will be closed starting Friday, March 20, 2020 at 5 p.m., until further notice. As staff works remotely, please be assured that we will continue to work diligently in support of the children and families of Broward and the child serving community. Please search this website and our social media platforms @cscbroward for continuous updates as well as resources and information that help our community more easily navigate these challenging times. If you need to reach us, call (954) 377-1000 or e-mail info@cscbroward.org

Also, the Positive Youth Development RFP’s Council Award date has changed to May 21, 2020 and the Healthy Youth Transitions RFP committee interview dates have changed to May 4th and May 5th.

Meanwhile, as there is a lot of information being shared, and not all of it is accurate, we encourage you to rely on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health for information on ways that can help prevent the spread of this disease.

Currently, the CDC is recommending simple everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses such as COVID-19. These include:

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with
unwashed hands.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.

• If possible, avoid close contact with people who are sick.

For more information on COVID-19, contact the Florida Department of Health in Broward County at 1.866.779.6121 or email COVID-19@flhealth.gov

The CSC family will continue to be here for you and our entire child serving community and support in every way we can. Please stay safe and vigilant. Thank you.

The Faces of CSC

The impact Future Prep had on Sarah fomented her desire to give back to her community. Today, she is a Counselor for Memorial’s CSC-funded Youth Force program, helping other young people gain confidence and determine their own path for the future.
This program has touched me and made a difference in my life.
Thanks to the Children’s Services Council and the YMCA of Broward County, students have an opportunity to give a voice to issues that are important to them.
