Happy youth smiling.

Extra! Extra! The Children’s Services Council of Broward County (CSC) is introducing a new procurement process: CAPS!
All procurement applications (Requests for Proposals-RFPs; Requests for Qualifications-RFQs; Requests for Applications-RFAs; etc.),  must now be submitted through CSC’S web-based Contract, Administration, and Procurement System (CAPS).  Paper submission of applications will no longer take place. The procurement documents will all be available in CAPS and the Application for Funding and other required documents will be submitted and/or uploaded in the CAPS system. Technical assistance on the use of CAPS will be available through CSC’s help desk whenever a procurement is available.

The CSC has budgeted approximately $12.5 million in FY 20/21 for the Positive Youth Development 2020 Request for Proposals (RFP), covering four initiatives that will provide year-round out-of-school time strategic youth development programming serving at-promise middle and/or high school youth and/or high school youth with physical, developmental, and/or behavioral disabilities. The four initiatives include: Youth FORCE, LEAP High, PEACE, and STEP programs.

Applications must be submitted through CSC’S web-based Contract, Administration, and Procurement System (CAPS). CAPS can be accessed through the RFQ link below. All applications are due on November 25th, 2019 at 4:00PM.

Important Change! Financial Statements deadline for procurement applications

Financial Statements will now be required to be submitted PRIOR to the deadline of the procurement application.

Each procurement timetable will indicate the due date for the financial statements. An application to the procurement cannot be submitted if the financial statements are not provided by the listed deadline. Once the financial statements are received, the CSC will perform the Financial Viability Test and inform the applicant on the maximum level of funding that may be awarded to an agency during the Council fiscal year or suggest a Fiscal Sponsor option.

The Faces of CSC

The greatest tool you can give a child is the ability to persuade and speak with confidence. Being that my YIG experience positively impacted my emotional literacy skills, I would like to pass these on to those who are less fortunate.
"This program has touched me and made a difference in my life."
"I will be the first to say, Youth in Government should be a part of every teenager's life, because I know without it I wouldn't be the person I am."
