The Out- of -School Time Food Boxes program is a project designed to prevent children from experiencing hunger while school is not in session. Its funding helps purchase food boxes containing nutritious food and healthy eating literature for families distributed through various venues, including Harvest Drive. Assembly and coordination of the food boxes are provided by Soref Jewish Community Center and the social workers from Broward County Public Schools who also help identify recipient families, due to their intimate knowledge of those most in need.

The Faces of CSC

The impact Future Prep had on Sarah fomented her desire to give back to her community. Today, she is a Counselor for Memorial’s CSC-funded Youth Force program, helping other young people gain confidence and determine their own path for the future.
"This program has touched me and made a difference in my life."
Thanks to the Children’s Services Council and the YMCA of Broward County, students have an opportunity to give a voice to issues that are important to them.
