Stronger Together: Combating Food Insecurity Across Broward
Recognizing that hunger affects a child’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive, CSC works hand in hand with local nonprofits and community partners to make sure families have consistent access to nutritious food year-round. This includes support during times when children are out of school or when families face unexpected financial challenges.
CSC has dedicated over one million dollars each year to food mitigation efforts. Funding organizations that deliver thousands of meals, stock community pantries, operate mobile food distributions, and teach families how to stretch their food budgets in healthy ways.

The Feeding Broward initiative—led by Commissioner Nan Rich in partnership with organizations such as the Children’s Services Council of Broward, Feeding South Florida, the Health Foundation of South Florida, Memorial Healthcare System, and United Way of Broward County. These efforts aim to ensure no one goes hungry this season.
Your monetary donation can make an immediate difference by helping local food banks restock their shelves and provide nutritious meals to families in need.
